Getting Here

ROAD

Smiths Falls is located in Eastern Ontario less than one hour from Kingston, Ottawa and the bridges to the United States. The Town also has easy access to the 400-series highways, providing direct driving routes to Toronto (3.5 hours) and Montreal (2.5 hours). Greyhound bus service also provides ground transportation to our community. RAIL

VIA Rail Canada offers passenger train service on a daily basis. The Via Rail Station is located at 45 Union Street, Smiths Falls, K7A 5C4. Please visit www.viarail.ca or call, 1.888.842.7245. A short cab ride will bring you to the downtown core area.

CAB

Check the local yellow pages for taxi cabs. There is also a direct line from the VIA station.

RIVER

We are located at the Heart of the Rideau Canal. Detached Locks, Combined Locks and Old Sly’s Locks have stations with bathrooms, first aid, overnight dockage and picnic facilities.

AIR

Located just outside of town is the Russ Beach Smiths Falls-Montague Airport, which can accommodate small personal aircraft and midsized commercial aircraft. For larger commercial and passenger aircraft, the Ottawa International Airport is only 67 km from Smiths Falls.
