Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital
Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is a local, full service hospital giving the community access to most of the key elements of health care. That includes:
- Acute Care
- Emergency Room
- Intensive Care Unit
- Maternity Ward
- Dialysis unit
- Palliative Care
Patient care has been further enhanced through the recent opening of a new multi-level wing at the Smiths Falls site. The wing, which opened in May 2010, contains three new state-of-the-art surgery rooms, a new intensive care unit, new and expanded Diagnostic Imaging Department, new post anesthetic care unit and new obstetrical unit, including four new birthing rooms. The renovation of the 1950s wing is now underway. Another new addition to the hospital in Smiths Falls is a CT scan unit.

Smiths Falls Community Health Centre
Opening in early 2010, the Smiths Falls Community Health Centre provides health services to people who live in and around Smiths Falls. Health-care providers include physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, dietitians and health promotion staff. Like all the other 74 Community Health Centres in Ontario, Smiths Falls Community Health Centre is community-governed and community-driven.
If you need help finding a family doctor or nurse practitioner, Health Care Connect will assist you with your search. The site includes a form you can complete listing basic information in order to start the process of finding a family health care provider.

CPHC Community Family Health Team Mobile Unit
The Community and Primary Health Care (CPHC) provides mobile primary health care services. Retrofitted with an examination room, the Community Family Health Team Mobile Unit is managed by a nurse practitioner and support staff. While the unit offers primary health care to residents of all ages, priority is given to those who do not have a family physician.
The RV is at the Smiths Falls Arena on pre-scheduled days (schedule attached).
