Museum Hours
The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum is closed September 13th-14th and 20th for private bookings. The gift shop area will still be available for information. Otherwise the museum is currently available Wednesday - Friday from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm, Weekends 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm or otherwise by appointment. Land Acknowledgement
The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum acknowledges the fact that Smiths Falls and the Museum are built on the land of the Algonquin Annishnaabe people and that as settlers of this area are here as uninvited guests on this land. The museum also recognizes that acknowledgement alone is not enough and that steps need to be taken towards challenging and unlearning the longstanding legacy of colonialism and racism across Canada.
Haunted Heritage House
Join the museum at 11 Old Slys for your spookiest tour of the Smiths Falls Heritage House yet... if you dare. Are you brave enough to wander through the rooms of the Heritage House in the dark? Guests will tour through the rooms and corridors of our 1860's home, without the tour guide. With many hiding places and some very eerie sights, sounds and characters we'll be sure to scare you into the haunting season. After your tour, take a stroll through the outdoor community pumpkin walk and vote on your favourite carving. Seasonal treats will be available for purchase to warm up and calm the nerves.
