To obtain documents please visit https://smithsfalls.bidsandtenders.ca. Proposal Submissions will be accepted by hard copy submission or through the Town’s electronic bidding system.
The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.

Accessible Trick or Treat

It’s that time of year again… Halloween is fast approaching! The Smiths Falls Accessibility Advisory Committee will once again be participating in the “TreatAccessibly” initiative. TreatAccessibly is aimed at making trick or treating accessible to all children, including those with a disability or special needs.
The initiative was established in 2017 when an Ontario family realized that there were children in their own neighbourhood who could not trick or treat because they were in wheelchairs...

Harold Street

Paving operations will take place on Harold Street from Broadview Avenue to Wood Avenue including the cal-de-sac on Thursday, October 19, 2023. The roadway will be open however lane closures will be in place in order to facilitate the works. Please expect delays in the area and plan your route accordingly.

Old Slys Swing Bridge Closure

Parks Canada will be performing fall maintenance on the Old Slys Swing Bridge on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The bridge will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour signage will be in place. Traffic to follow Jasper Avenue, Lombard Street, Abbott Street, Cornelia Street West (Highway 43) and Elmsley Street. Please expect delays in the area and plan routes accordingly.
