The Town of Smiths Falls is moving forward with reopening of municipal assets following the provincial move to Step 3 of reopening. Accordingly, the walking concourse at the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre will reopen effective Friday, Aug. 6, 2021. The concourse will be open seven days a week, between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
“We are very pleased to be able to open up services to the community as the situation continues to improve and people become fully vaccinated,” said Art Manhire, Director of Community Services.
Users of the community centre are asked to sign in upon entering the facility. Physical distancing will continue to be required inside the facility, including on the walking concourse. Masks are also mandatory but may be removed when engaging in physical activity.
Users are encouraged to dress accordingly as the community centre ice will be installed on Wednesday, Aug. 4. The facility will again be operating for rentals beginning Aug. 16.
