Smiths Falls launches Organic Management Pilot Project

The Town of Smiths Falls is seeking 100 Town households to take part in a Council supported Pilot Project.

The Town has partnered with Food Cycle Science Corporation to gather data over a three-month period (March 1 – May 31, 2022) in efforts to support the reduction of organic waste from our waste stream. The Town has purchased 100 FoodCycler units and are offering these units on a “first come – first serve” basis at a subsidized price of $169.50 (including HST).

Participating households will gather data over the three month period and report to Food Cycle Science Corporation.

This project is only available for residents located within the Town of Smiths Falls’ limits.

In order to secure your FoodCycler unit you must pre-register by February 1, 2022. You can register by contacting Vanessa Bernicky by email: or by phone: 613-283-4124 Ext. 1147.
