The Town of Smiths Falls is inviting members of the community to a Public Open House to obtain feedback from residents and economic development stakeholders to help guide the direction of a 5-year Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) and Investment Attraction Strategic Plan.

WHAT: Public Community Engagement Session for the BR&E and Investment Attraction Strategic Plan

6:00 – 7:30 PM

WHERE: Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre (upstairs)

The session will include a presentation of the project by the consultants, following an open session where members of the public can ask questions and provide thoughts, suggestions and comments to the project team.

The Town retained Optimus SBR to undertake the project which is expected to be completed in December 2024.

“Our BR&E and Investment Attraction Strategic Plan is about aligning our community’s strengths with new opportunities,” said Julia Crowder, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism. “By leveraging our resources and engaging with local businesses, we aim to create a thriving environment that attracts investment, fosters innovation, and ultimately enhances the quality of life for all residents. This plan is a roadmap for sustainable growth that will benefit our community for years to come.”
