Traffic Stop- 3-Day DL suspension
While conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Friday, 01 March 2024, Smiths Falls Police issued a 3-day licence suspension to 48-year-old Scott SPENCER for novice driver operating motor vehicle with blood alcohol concentration above 0, along with several tickets for offences under the Highway Traffic Act and Cannabis Control Act.
Breach release order- Arrest
On Saturday March 2nd, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police made observations of 39-year-old Justin MCFADDEN in breach of his current release order conditions. MCFFADDEN was arrested for the witnessed breach. Subsequent to that arrest a quantity of illicit drugs were located. MCFADEN was charged accordingly and held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
Breach of Release Order- Arrest
On Tuesday March 5th, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police entered into an investigation related to 35-year-old Matthew JAMIESON currently breaching his release order conditions. Police located and arrested the accused without incident. The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
Suspicious Incident
On Tuesday March 5th, 2024, Smiths Falls Police Service were alerted to a suspicious incident that occurred in the early morning hours in the area of Condie Street, which later involved a firearm being discharged at a targeted vehicle just east of town on Matheson Drive. No injuries were incurred and the public is not deemed to be at risk at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
Breach of Probation/ Judicial Release Order – Warrant- Arrest
On Wednesday March 6th, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police located 25-year-old Max LANGFORD in the area of Main St and McGill St. Officers were aware the accused had an outstanding arrest warrant for breaching his probation order conditions, as well as breaching his judicial release order conditions. The accused was arrested and held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
