Celebrate winter on Feb. 3 at Smiths Falls’ Winter Carnival

Smiths Falls, ON – The Town of Smiths Falls is excited to be hosting a Winter Carnival Event on Feb. 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Smiths Falls. The event will require some parking lot closures.

The Town of Smiths Falls invites the public to participate in Winter Carnival activities throughout the downtown. Activities will include horse drawn wagon rides, outdoor laser tag, axe throwing, a downtown scavenger hunt, a barbecue by the Smiths Falls Firefighter’s Association, winter activities at the Smiths Falls Public Library, hot chocolate, pick-up hockey with the Smiths Falls Sr. A Rideaus Hockey Club, a Beavertails truck, a warming station at Davidson Courtyard, and public skating at the Gerry Lowe Memorial Rink of Dreams (weather permitting).

Road Closures

Please note, the Russell Street East parking lot will be closed to the public to host the pick-up hockey with the Rideaus. If you have your own hockey equipment, especially helmets, please bring it as sticks will be limited. The Main Street West parking lot will also be barricaded to host the axe throwing, games, and Beavertails truck. Please plan accordingly.
The wagon rides will exit from the Town Hall parking lot entrance located on Elmsley Street North, continue onto Russell Street East, then back onto Beckwith Street, with a right onto Elmsley Street North before arriving back at the Town Hall parking lot.
