The 2025 municipal calendars have arrived and will be delivered to Smiths Falls residents prior to the holidays. The “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” photo contest launched in September 2024 and received over 300 photo submissions. The annual calendar features important information for residents within Smiths Falls, including council meetings, various recycling initiatives (including the weekly garbage pick-up schedule), and some local events hosted by the Town.

“The overwhelming response to the contest this year confirmed that Smiths Falls is home to many talented local artists and artisans, which we are thrilled to showcase!” noted Julia Crowder, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism.

The photos selected were done so through an evaluation process by the Economic Development and Tourism department. The photographers of the winning shots received $50 in Downtown Dollars as well as photo credit in the municipal calendar. The images selected for the calendar are credited to the following photographers:

The Town would like to thank those residents who submitted images, and who continue to support this initiative each year. Those who do not receive their calendar by January 3, 2025, may visit Town Hall to pick up a copy. (limited to one per household)
