Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum to host Doug Phillips’ Book Launch of “Frost & Wood of Smiths Falls: An Illustrated and Oral History”

Smiths Falls, ON – Join Author Doug Phillips at the Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum on Saturday, August 26, from 1 pm – 3 pm for the launch of his book. There will be light refreshments served during the opening and a talk by Doug Phillips about Frost & Wood and the book.

Doug’s book includes interviews from people connected to the community and Frost & Wood including Murray Quattrocchi, “I served all over Europe in the Canadian Army in World War II. My socks were made in Perth and my hand grenades were made in Smiths Falls.” Murray Quattrocchi, Oct. 23, 2009.

The talk and book launch will take place on the grounds of the museum (weather permitting) and there will be Frost & Wood artifacts and machinery out for display.
